I did the final pie chart and made up our action points from what we found.
Tuesday 25th September
As a group, we sat down and looked at our action points of what our audience wanted. From that, we decided we wanted 3 girls to build an R'n'B band.
Looking at what style/look our audience wanted, we picked 3 girlswe wanted to be in our band.
We chose Amie, Gemma and Jemma. After asking them we started building a draft of their character profiles.
7th October
Ryan and Lauren took location shots.
Me and Ryan decided to go outside of school to get our main location shots. We felt that the subway would be a good place to take a lot of the location shots as the girls come from a rough background. At the time there were a lot of leaves around and we thought it would be nice to capture them within the shot so it gives the surrounding a nicer feel. We then got a few shots of a piano as this represents the music and as Gemma plays piano we felt this was be a good location shot.
Me and Ryan then annotated them together pointing out what we did and why we chose them.
9th October
Our target for the end of the day was to have our 3 mock up CD/DVD cover's done.
Ryan did two of them. In one of my mock-ups I showed the girls faces in a housing estate-style road, this was to represent our bands USP, which was coming from a rough background/childhood. The other mock up also represented this. I also came up with a name for our album which was 'Streetlights as Spotlights'. Which also again represents our USP for our band.
I did one mock up. I decided to do quite a girly focused mock up rather than focusing on their rough background, this is so the audience see its all about their music from now on and their are trying to get away from their rough background. I then coloured them in and annotated them as Ryan and Lauren re-took a location shot.
As Priya was finishing of the mock ups, me and Ryan went to re-take a location shot as we wasn't happy with our first one.
9th October
Ryan did the character profiles. I completed the normal information such as name, age, gender etc, but also showed what part they played in the band. One being the main singer, the other being the musically talented one who wrote the songs and the other member who's main passion was dance. We did this to show a diverse range of skills in our band.
I had to write up the band history. I had the help of Ryan so I knew the basic background and made their background more musical based.
I had to research lyrics and then write our own for the band. I chose a main focus for the song and then built it up from their. I also scanned in our questionnaire onto the blog.
13th October
Me and Ryan took the promotional pictures. Ryan took them and I positioned the girls and told them what they should be doing and what effect it would have on the audience. We also took a few shot of the girls just having fun to show the bond between them.
Me and Fitzi then went to the photgraphy room and chose the pictures we liked best and printed them.
I helped go through the pictures with Priya and decided which was best to use for our evidence.
14th October
Me and Ryan annotated the promotional pictures pointing out what we did for specific reasons.
21st October
Me and Ryan attempted to upload music video's on the blog. this again didnt work. instead, we uploaded the promo pictures, location shots, character profiles etc onto our blog.
I did a Britney inside cover analysis and uploaded it onto the blog.
I did a Bruce Springstein inside cover analysis and uploaded it onto the blog.
I did an inside cover analysis from a compilation disc and uploaded it to the blog.
22nd October
Ryan and Fitzi did a inside cover mock up each.
I did a mock up of the inside cover and i chose to do a basic image that will be recognisable and will stand out that will mainly focus on the band. I decided on a plain back background with pink neon writing of just the bands name as this will be quite outstandable. Through choosing this, it closely links to 'Pineapple' which is a well known brand to teenage girls who are the main focus for our target audience.

We all worked on our blog, making sure codes and coventions stood out.
28th October

We also spent this time learning how to use the new software and learning how to edit and use different transitions.
While I was helping Priya upload the animated storyboard, I figured out how to use the new software so when it came to editing, I would find it easier to use this software and use all the different effects.

After uploading the MTV cribs special, I cut and started to edited each piece.
I came up to help Priya upload and start to edit the MTV cribs special.
I added music to our film for when the titles were playing and I also created the beginning title sequence. I added in all of the transitions between the shots and in between the audio files. I also altered the volume levels for different parts of the film when dialogue needed to be heard rather than background music. I also learnt how to position different shots on the screen and crop some of the shots to get rid of any background images that did not fit into the music video. I then cut down our film so that it matched the five minute maximum running time.
